The film explores the values and conflicts of the joint family system and revolves around two bothers, Sabapathy and Pasupathy. The wife of the elder brother creates problems in the household leading to a fight for the family property. After sevral tribulations, all’s well as the brothers are reconciled and the family is one again, thanks in no small measure due to a family angel in the gard of a maid servant who plays the trouble shooter.
