Manomohan Mitra (Utpal Dutt) enters the life of his niece, Anila Bose (Mamata Shankar), after 35 years. He had lived abroad and worked with various tribal communities around the world. Her husband, Sudhindra's (Dipankar Dey) lawyer feels Mitra is after Anila's inheritence. Finally, Mitra leaves, having willed his share of the family property to Anila.
